Objectives. The TOTAL Refining Chemicals objective is to improve existing refinery planning calculation tools to find quickly optimal solutions that are fully understandable, in coherence with operations and expert know-how.
The main objectives of this project are:
- To improve the current planning models in order to better fit with expert knowledge
- To develop methods and tools for smart reporting that could be handled by experienced or non-experienced planners, to help understanding the optimal solutions provided by the solver and to explore alternative scenarios
- To reduce computation times through innovative mathematical formulations and algorithms
