First International Conference on
Complex Systems Design and Management (CSDM 2010)

The ambition of the CSDM (Complex Systems Design & Management) conference is to be the meeting point reference for industrial and academic environments working on all dimensions of design and management of complex industrial systems.
From October, 27th to October, 29th, and for the first edition, more than 200 academics and industrialists are expected to attend conferences and debates that will be led by 16 international keynote speakers on the following topics:
· Societal challenges
o Energy: Thierry Nkaoua, deputy senior vice president for research and innovation, AREVA, France
o Finance: Danièle Nouy, chairman of the board, National Banking Commission, France
o Health : Jean de Kervasdoué, professor, Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, France
o Transportation: Florian Guillermet, chief programme officer, SESAR Joint Undertaking, EEC
· Industrial challenges
o Systems integration: Marko Erman, technical director, Thales, France
o Systems conception: Jacques Pellas, general secretary, Dassault Aviation, France
o Data Management: Yannick Cras, technical director, SAP, Germany
· Scientific state of the art
o Systemic: Farhad Arbab, professor, National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI), Netherlands
o System Design: Bran Selic, director of advanced technology, Zeligsoft, Canada
o System Optimization: Olivier de Weck, professor, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA
o System verification: Kim G. Larsen, professor, Aalborg University, Denmark
· Methodological state of the art
o Enterprise Architecture: Leon A. Kappelman, Professor of Information Systems, University of North Texas, USA
o Systems Engineering: Catherine Devic, Vice-Chairman of AFIS in association with DGA, France
o Metrics: Tom Gilb, INCOSE Fellow, Norway
o Systems architecture and engineering tools: Jacques Ariel Sirat, vice-president "Systems & Products Architecture & Engineering", EADS, Europe
