The Department of Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie University invites applications for an Assistant Professor position, probationary tenure-track appointment from candidates with outstanding teaching and research abilities in industrial engineering. Candidates must have a doctorate in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field and eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Nova Scotia.
The successful candidate should have demonstrated research expertise in the area of Healthcare Operational Research. The potential to develop research collaborations with healthcare organizations and experience working as an industrial engineer in hospital settings are considered assets.
Candidates should be able to teach a wide variety of undergraduate courses in Industrial Engineering, with a focus on Simulation, Operational Research, and Healthcare Service Systems. The successful candidate is also expected to teach one or two courses at the graduate level in these areas.
