Postdoctoral position in industrial logistics at the laboratory Modelisation, Information & Système (MIS), Université de Picardie Jules Vernes, Amiens, France.
================================================================
A post-doctoral position of 1 year is opened at laboratory Modelisation, Information ans Systems (MIS), University of Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens), France. It is funded by the NF3D R&D project.
The objectives of the candidate is to compare differents approaches to solve a vehicule routing combined with resource location problem (LRP).
The post-doctoral student will have to propose a modeling of the problem in the form of a CSP, to resolve it with Choco solver and to propose different strategies allowing to treat the biggest instances of the literature.
Next, for the larger instances, he will develop a metaheuristic based on the method of the Cross-Entropy principle (CE) that was proposed in 1997 by Rubinstein as a way of estimating probabilities of rare events in stochastic network, and was afterwards adapted to discrete optimisation.
These two approaches must interact to form a hybrid method at the end.
Performance tests will be conducted on a wide range of instances.
Applicants must have a PhD in Computer Sciences and should demonstrate good programming skills and a deep knowledge in combinatorial optimization and integer programming. Experience on industrial logistic problems is appreciated
The position will be located in Amiens (North of France (Picardie)) in team Graph Optimization and Constrains, Laboratory MIS (UPJV). The appointment is for 1 year and does not carry any teaching responsibilities. The starting date is between October and December 2017.
Please send your application electronically (preferably as a single pdf file) including a detailed curriculum vitae, plus, if available, a list of reference letters, to: corinne.lucet@u-picardie.fr
