Session : Supply chain management solutions & logistics network optimizing
Global supply chains integrate different functional elements (storage location, Network design, supply systems, transportation...). In many cases, they require performance improvements. Introducing organization solutions at the core of distribution channels must be
based on an optimization logic to reduce costs while achieving high delivery standards. A significant reduction in operational costs can be attained by improving decisions such as the optimal selection of inventory placement and transportation modes. Strategic and tactic
decisions will be discussed and several problems can be considered such as:
Warehouse location-allocation
Transport network design
Distribution and routing problems
Inventory-delivery planning...
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, these problems. The aim of this special session is to present mathematical models, algorithms and recent management techniques for this field. Works with a practical aspect are particularly encouraged.
Submission
Express your intention of submission and send your full paper or extended abstract of 2 to 3 pages to racem.mellouli@utt.fr (You should also send a copy to: cie39@utt.fr when submitting your paper).
January 15, 2009: deadline for paper submission
March 1, 2009: notification of acceptance/reject
April 30, 2009: deadline for final paper and registration.
