LECTURER IN MATHEMATICAL OPTIMISATION

The University of Birmingham
The University of Birmingham wishes to appoint a Lecturer B in
Mathematical Optimisation in the School of Mathematics with effect
from 1st January 2007 or by a date to be agreed. The successful
applicant will have mathematically based undergraduate education
and a PhD, a strong research track record, international research
profile in Mathematical Optimisation and proven ability to win
peer-reviewed funding from multiple sources. Applications from
individuals whose research interests can be integrated with existing
research at Birmingham are particularly welcome. This includes
discrete optimisation, non-linear optimisation and multicriteria
optimisation, but successful applicants may work in any area of
Mathematical Optimisation. Starting salary is 32,471 british pounds.
This is subject to a 4% increase in 2007.
