Head of Operations Research at Colisweb

Forum 'Emplois' - Sujet créé le 2016-04-08

Colisweb is building a software-defined transportation infrastructure. We leverage data to offer same-day deliveries in as little as 2 hours or in a time slot of your choice. While building systems that work with existing workflows, we will be building the technical infrastructure to support all kind of mobility and flow consolidation. If we are successful, we will build a transportation system that is far more sustainable, robust, efficient, and equitable.
As Head of Operations Research, you will build the core models and APIs that define our physical transportation systems. The infrastructure must be able to ingest, store and analyze incoming driver data in real time, and support analysis, dynamic pricing and routing.
You will be working in collaboration with Inria’s Inocs (Integrated Optimization with Complex Structure) team on broad NP-Hard problems involving vehicle routing routing, load balancing, workload planning and yield management.
The ideal Colisweb Head of Operations Research will:
• Have a passion for making cities better
• Have a bias to action: once you’ve sketched out an idea, you find the fast path to a prototype to prove the concept
• Be creative in coming up with novel solutions
• Collaborate with academics, engineers and non-engineers
• Ask hard questions and challenge assumptions to ensure that we are solving the right problems

Minimum qualification:
• Bias towards shipping, not just theory
• Strong mathematical and Operational Research foundation
• Ability to write production-level code is a huge plus
• Written and verbal communication skills
• French is a plus
• Team player Voir l'offre Ici
