Open Ph.D. and postdoctoral positions to work in the field of urban traffic modeling and control.
The positions are available in the areas of: 1)macroscopic analytical urban traffic modeling (traffic flow theory, queueing theory); 2)urban traffic management, focusing on developing frameworks to enable the use of detailed traffic simulators for traffic management (simulation-based optimization).
Candidate should have both transportation and operations research interests. Postdoctoral candidates should hold a Ph.D. in transportation, operations research or a related field. Will work with Carolina Osorio (http://cee.mit.edu/osorio) in the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department, MIT.
