Research Positions in Vehicle Routing, Scheduling, OR, CP
National ICT Australia (NICTA) is Australia's ICT Research Center of Excellence.
We currently have a position for a researcher or a senior researcher to join the expanding Intelligent Fleet Logistics project, in Canberra.
Successful candidates will hold a PhD in computer science, mathematics operations research or a related discipline. They will have an interest to research one or more of the following areas:
* Routing and scheduling algorithms for transport optimisation
* Mixed Integer Programming, Linear Programming
* Constraint programming
* Local Search and Meta-heuristics
* Robustness in routing and scheduling
The ability to contribute new ideas and experience from previous projects together with professionalism and good communication skills is sought. Software development using C/C++ is required.
Appointments will be initially for three years with possibility of extension.
