Internship: AI-Integrated Metaheuristics for Complex Problem Solving

Duration: 5 (or 6) months (Compensation according to the legal French rate)
Description:
Join us for a 5 or 6-month journey at the IRIMAS Laboratory, where you'll explore the exciting intersection of AI and metaheuristics. As a Master's student with skills in programming languages such as C++ and Python, and a solid understanding of metaheuristics and AI techniques, this internship presents a unique opportunity. Contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at enhancing metaheuristic algorithms through machine learning integration, applicable to a variety of real-world problems. These could include logistics optimization challenges like facility location problems, charging scheduling, as well as applications in chemistry and material science, such as structure determination challenges.
Your Role:
· Develop and implement AI-integrated metaheuristics to tackle complex optimization problems.
· Collaborate with a diverse team of experts to explore and refine optimization strategies.
Expected Outcomes
- A suite of AI-enhanced metaheuristic algorithms applicable to various real-life problems.
- Comparative analysis of algorithm performance in terms of efficiency and accuracy.
- Validation of algorithm results through experimental data, demonstrating their practicality in the related domain, such as materials science, energy management, or logistics.
