Post-Doctoral position at Ecole des Mines de Nantes/IRCCyN
Forum 'Emplois' - Sujet créé le 2014-05-19
The post-doctoral candidate will be involved in the research project, Hyperwind, supported by the FUI funding (inter-ministry research and development) and a consortium of industrial companies and two research labs. The objective of the Hyperwind project is to define a decision-making tool for the maintenance of an offshore wind farm.
The objective of the post-doctoral candidate will be, in collaboration with two associate professors of the Ecole des Mines de Nantes, to develop the mathematical framework for the "maintenance scheduling" module of the project first for one wind turbine. An extension of this work could then be proposed for the "maintenance scheduling" module at the wind farm level.
The candidate will be integrated in the "Logistics and Production Systems " team of the IRCCyN (research lab) and will also collaborate with the other members of the Hyperwind consortium.
The candidate must demonstrate significant experience in mathematical modeling of complex systems in the reliability and maintenance fields. Knowledge of modeling tools such as Bayesian networks and optimization borrowed from stochastic operations research will be appreciated. The candidate must demonstrate his ability to communicate orally and in writing in both French and English.
Date: September 2014 (preferred start date)
Duration: one year (possibility for a 6-month extension)
Net income: 2015€ per month
