This full-time post is available from March 2006 (potentially earlier if
the successful candidate is available) on a fixed term basis until February 2008.
The successful candidate will lead work on the development and
implementation of Bayesian-based optimisation techniques for the optimal design/rehabilitation and operation of water/wastewater systems, including software development, supervision of other research staff and development of new research programmes. Ideally, applicants will possess a PhD in the operations research field. Research expertise related or complementary to the Centre's current research is preferred, but good candidates in other
areas of modelling and optimisation will be considered.
The successful applicant will have a willingness to conduct collaborative research with other colleagues in the School and a commitment to contribute to the School's research output.
Salary will be up to £28,829 pa on scale Research 1A £20,044 pa - £30,002 pa with placement depending on qualifications and experience.
