Postdoctoral Researcher in Applied Statistics and Industrial Engineering with Applications to Semiconductor Manufacturing
General Description
In the Center of Microelectronics in Provence (CMP) of the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne (EMSE, a French engineering school), the Department of Sciences of Fabrication and Logistics (SFL) develops researches on two main axes: semiconductor manufacturing sciences and logistics (in transportation and also semiconductor manufacturing). This position is mainly within the first axis and in particular in the topic of "Advanced Process Control (APC)" which aims at controlling/optimizing the equipment and processes in real time.
Details and Requirements
The applicant must have a Ph.D. in industrial engineering or any related fields with profession in applied statistics, data mining or quality engineering. The major research domain will be statistical process/equipment control and its application in semiconductor manufacturing. Novel mathematical/statistical methodologies will be developed to handle and analyze the big amount of data collected throughout fabrication processes. To make theories practical, the applicant will have to work in partnership with French semiconductor industries.
Knowing the basics of semiconductor manufacturing processes is a plus but not mandatory.
English is the major language used for daily communication in working. Knowing French would be a plus but not mandatory.
