As part of R&D Process Control & Logistics team, your mission is to take part in projects dealing with development of decision support tools for Air Liquide supply chain based on Operations Research methods.
Your main contacts would be R&D team members located in France and in the USA, Air Liquide industrial IT department and external partners (IT, Operation Research experts..). You will also interact with project business owner.
The goal of the decision support tools developed in our team is ultimately increase benefits and environmental efficiency of Air Liquide. Those tools generally tackle gas production, distribution and delivery optimization problem and are deployed world-wide.
More specifically, your mission is to specify, develop and maintain decision support tools, within a team
1) to specify the functionalities requested by end-users and business owner
2) to develop the functionalities, including coding and detailed commenting of newly added functionalities.
3) to support testing of the solution and ensure high quality of the code
4) to ensure the corrective and evolutive maintenance of code
5) to bring innovation by challenging Operations Research methods currently used and users requests, conducting state of the art survey (patents, publication and technowatch) and protect your work
6) to exchange and train team members on details of resolution methodologies implemented, thus ensuring sustainability of solution for Air Liquide.
7) to contribute to the project portfolios vision by submitting documented project proposals and challenging the current portfolio As an member of R&D team and based on your experience, you will submit new project proposals to build-up the R&D project portfolio in accordance with R&D program directors and R&D team
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-4 years of experience in the development of operations research tools
-PhD, Engineering or Master Degree in IT development or Operations Research or Applied Mathematics

•Software development:
oDevelopment of IT tools for the industry
oIT architecture
oObject-oriented programming
oPractise of IBM Ilog CPLEX is a plus
oPractise of C# is a plus
•Operation Research
oGeneral knowledge: modelling
oCombinatorial optimization methods
oExperience on specific industries tools (supply chain, scheduling) is a plus
