Appel à candidatures EURO 2028

Vous trouverez ci-dessous deux appels à organisation émis par EURO :

- L'appel pour EURO 2028, porté par les sociétés savantes. Les manifestations d'intérêt sont attendues pour le 15 décembre 2024.

- L'appel à organisation des EURO Mini-Conferences pour 2026, avec également une date limite fixée au 15 décembre 2024.

Dear National Society Presidents and Representatives,
 

As you probably remember, I have taken over as EURO Vice President 1 (with responsibility for conferences) since the 1st of January this year.  It was nice to meet many of you again at the EURO Council meeting in Copenhagen in July. 

As I mentioned then, I am seeking expressions of interest from interested parties to host EURO 2028.  The call is open until the 15th of December 2024.

I encourage you to circulate this call to members of your national societies and other contacts who may be interested in organising EURO 2028 at a location in your country.

Please send expressions of interest to me at vp1@euro-online.org as soon as possible.

I'm happy to answer any questions that interested people may have.

On the related topic of EURO mini-conferences, we did not receive any bids for either 2024 or 2025.  This makes me think that the scope of the instrument may need to be widened to encourage bids.  I would greatly appreciate any suggestions from you or from your national society members:

- should we encourage new areas or activities or combinations, for example, XXX meets YYY?

- should we allow joint bids from a number of EURO working groups (EWGs)?  Currently EURO working groups can apply for individual funding from VP2 but not for joint conferences. 

- do you have any other ideas on ways that we could make the mini-conference instrument more attractive to people?

A call for expressions of interest for EURO mini-conferences in 2026 is also open until the 15th of December 2024.
