Post-doctoral position in Operations Research at SKEMA Business School

The PRISM Research Centre at SKEMA Business School has a vacancy for one full-time post-doctoral researcher in Operations Research (OR) and its applications to transportation and logistics for a period of two years. 

This position is funded by the URBANE project supported by the CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. URBANE is a multidisciplinary initiative that aims to co-develop novel last mile delivery solutions combining green automated vehicles and shared space utilisation models.

The candidate will work together with Associate Professor David Rey and will be based at SKEMA Sophia Antipolis campus. The candidate is expected to work on research activities within the scope of the URBANE project, including research publications, conference presentations and workshop participation. The candidate will also have opportunities to interact with academics and researchers in OR and Artificial Intelligence (AI) within PRISM and the AI Institute at SKEMA Business School amongst others. 

Candidates must have a PhD in OR, engineering, mathematics, economics, or computer science. A knowledge of transportation and logistics is not essential but desirable. Significant data science and programming experiences are required, and the candidate is expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills in English. A working knowledge of the French language is appreciated.

The tentative starting date for this position is September 1st, 2022 but can be flexible depending on the availability of the candidate.
